5 Podcasts that Make Life Better

I only found the podcast world in mid-2017 and let me tell you, it has been life-changing. I always stick a podcast on while I'm on the train to uni or trying to get to sleep. When I first looked on the app I didn't realise just how many different podcasts there was. As I'm on my little life improvement journey the section I go to is lifestyle and health. I think podcasts are amazing because they're like a video you don't have to make the effort to watch - if you get me.

Meditation Minis
As someone who is quite new to meditation, it can be daunting for me to sit there for thirty minutes meditating because self-doubt about my method is swimming in my head. Meditation Minis has really helped me become more confident in my practice and has inspired me to implement meditation into my life on a daily basis. Chel has a variety of episodes that help make life just a bit easier. I always feel like I've had a good meditation after listening to these. It makes meditation a lot easier and less daunting to newbie meditators. 

The Mindful Kind

Being more mindful was on my list of new years resolutions and this podcast has been so important in helping me with that goal. Rachel has some amazing tips on how to live a more mindful and intentional life. I love that her topics are so varied too. She talks about food, studying, growing older and loads more. I really recommend listening to her if you want to become more mindful. She's so laidback and her approach is really inspiring. It sounds strange but when I listen to her it's like listening to an old friend talking. 

Tracks to Relax

 Falling asleep is always so difficult for me but it been made much easier by this podcast. It has many different types of sleep meditation such as guided or fantasy meditation. I usually fall asleep after one episode which is a lot quicker than I used to fall asleep. It’s so handy if you find it difficult to fall asleep in silence. They have episodes that are really helpful in other ways and they really put my mind at rest sometimes from my anxieties and worries.

Losing 100lbs

 The tough love approach has always worked better for me because if people are too soft I feel like I can get away with not listening. So when it comes to this podcast its perfect for anyone else like me. Corinne has some amazing tips for her weight loss experience. She has this kind of ‘no-bullshit’ approach to it which is so inspiring to me because I am usually full of bad excuses. This podcast keeps me on the right track and in the right state of mind.

Ted Daily

As I’ve mentioned before I am a huge believer in the notion that humans never stop learning. I’ve always been the inquisitive type who strives to always ask why. Ted Daily really fulfils my hunger for learning as there's a new episode up daily on a topic I usually know nothing about. I love listening to them when I’m feeling curious so I can learn more.
