Start Making Changes in Life

A lot of us may have things about our life that we'd like to change. Whether that is to do with our fitness, lifestyle or attitudes. Often we have good intentions but no idea on how to kick-start the changes we want to make. Never fear though, Katie is here to help you get your bum into gear and start smashing goals. 

➸ Find your why 

Dig deep and discover the reason why you're hungry for change. Do you fancy a change or is this something you've wanted to do for a while now? Knowing the reason behind wanting to change can really help you keep yourself motivated. Next thing to do is ask yourself how will this change affect your life. Will you be healthier, happier, or earning more money? Lastly, in finding your why, debate whether or not your change is reasonable or achievable. So, if you're looking to lose weight, a goal such as losing three stone in three months is unhealthy and unreasonable so it's not such a good goal. Whereas something like wanting to lose half a pound a week is more reasonable and achievable but also less daunting.

➸ Give yourself a timeline 
Set yourself a reasonable and sensible timeframe for when you want to have achieved this change in your life. The best way to give yourself a timeframe is to set in a 'Goldilocks zone' of sorts. An example might be to get your essay written in two weeks after you're given the assessment brief. This is a reasonable goal as it's not being rushed two days before the deadline and also because you're giving yourself time to get it done properly. Write down your plan in baby steps to make it loads easier to follow the timeline you've given yourself.

➸ Review yourself 
Always, always, always keep yourself in check. Tracking and reviewing the changes you're making is so important. This way you will actually see change happening. You will also be able to figure out if methods work for you or not. This can be done by measuring things like inches when losing weight or by looking at feelings such as mood changes or sleeping better. Do whatever you feel works for you. It's really important to review yourself so that you can see changes and eventually results.
