Five Things That Have Changed My Life in 2018

Finding things that make life easier or better are my favourite things in the world. The feeling when you find something and it just changes your life - whether the change is big or small. I'm always on the search for things like this. Not all of these things cost money which is great because I hate it when the first thing you have to do is buy something to start a new habit or make a change in life.
➸ Diffuser
I would definitely say that my diffuser is one of the best purchases that I've made this year. I got it back in February and I use it almost daily. I had no idea about essential oils and their benefits before getting my diffuser but now it's something that I'm all over. I vary between using essential oils for health benefits or using fragrance oils just to make my room smell nice. My favourite mixture is cotton, lavender and honey for before I go to bed. It sends me right off to dreamland.

➸ Not wearing makeup
Back in March, I wrote a post all about why I stopped wearing makeup. The main reason was that I just couldn't be bothered to do it in the morning. Also, I was just spending so much money on makeup that I was using once and then never using again. I just decided it was the best thing for me, my skin and my bank.

➸ Tarot cards
For me, 2018 has been a big year in regards to me exploring my spirituality. I received my tarot cards for Christmas and I was instantly obsessed with them. I am trying my best to learn the cards normally and reverse meanings. My favourite thing is giving my family members little readings.

➸ Making my bed daily
This one seems pretty usual but it's made such a difference in my life. Making my bed every day, first of all, stops me from getting back into bed. I will often spend days huddled up in bed but when I see my bed looking neat and tidy it stops me from wanting to get back into it.

➸ Audiobooks
Since starting university, reading books I enjoy rather than academic texts has been pretty tough. In between essays and lecture readings, I hardly have the time to read proper books. However, with my commute I have loads of time to listen to stuff - this is where audiobooks came in. Now when I'm on the train or the gym or wherever, I put one of my audiobooks on and it's changed my life honestly.

Thank you so much for reading. What has changed your life this year? I know we still have some time left before 2018 ends but these things have done wonders for how I've felt this year. Have a lovely day and stay beautiful.
