I only found the podcast world in mid-2017 and let me tell you, it has been life-changing. I always stick a podcast on while I’m on the train to uni or trying to get to sleep. When I first looked on the app I didn’t realise just how many different podcasts there was. As I’m on my little life improvement journey the section I go to is lifestyle and health. I think podcasts are amazing because they’re like a video you don’t have to make the effort to watch – if you get me.
#1: MEDITATION MINIS
As someone who is quite new to meditation, it can be daunting for me to sit there for thirty minutes meditating because I have a lot of self-doubt about my method. Meditation Minis has really helped me become more confident in my practice and it’s inspired me to start implementing meditation into my life on a daily basis.
#2: THE MINDFUL KIND
Being more mindful was a big thing on my 2018 Resolutions list and this podcast has been so important in helping me with that. Rachel has some amazing tips on how to live a more mindful and intentional life. She covers so many topics that are relevant to different people such as food, studying, growing older etc.
#3: TRACKS TO RELAX
Falling asleep is so difficult for me sometimes but this podcast makes it so much easier. They have a few different types of podcasts such as guided meditation or fantasy meditation. I usually fall asleep after one episode which is amazing because it can usually take like two hours to go to sleep.
#4: STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW
There is nothing I love more than learning about stuff that will never be useful and this is exactly the podcast for this! I love how many topics this podcast covers and I can listen for hours on end. Even the topics that I think are going to be boring like ‘Lava Lamps’ are really interesting and fun.
#5: MILE HIGHER
Josh and Kendall are literally my go-to people for conspiracy theories, mysteries and true crime. I absolutely love this podcast and it’s like no other that I’ve ever listen to. They always have really interesting theories and I don’t trust the world after I listen to them aha.
