THOUGHTS OF A SMALL TOWN BLOGGER

In many ways, I love being from a small town. I like how unique and quiet it is. I like how everything is quite compact so you don’t need to travel for ages just to go to a Tescos. However, in other ways, I feel like my small town lets me down. This became especially clear to me when I became a blogger.

There are no Peggy Porschens around here where I can go with my gal pals and take amazing photos of the food and surroundings. There are no iconic graffiti walls for me to take outfits shots in front of. It’s all just a little bit boring around here. Obviously, no one can be blamed for this because it’s just how my town is but I lust over the popular places that bloggers folk to for amazing photos. I kind of feel my town is grey and ugly in comparison to bigger cities like Brighton and London.

I’m not even sure if there are other bloggers in Telford. I can’t be the only small town blogger who asks themselves if their the only one in like a hundred miles who blog (or I hope I’m not). I would love to meet some local bloggers and have a nice brunch date and then go take cute photos. Am I a bit jealous of the big city bloggers? Maybe a little. But it’s healthy jealousy because I just love how big and beautiful their cities are and my town is just small and drab. Also, I’m a Scorpio so jealously comes naturally to me.

Now, I know I have some growing to do before I get invited to any blogger/PR events but I’m not even sure if any are held in my town. I absolutely love seeing bloggers on my Instagram feed getting glammed up for these events. I always feel kind of gutted when I think about the lack of ‘bloggerness’ of my town (I know that’s not a word but I’m going with it). These events are probably held in places close to me like Wolverhampton.

Thank you so much for reading. Does anyone else who comes from a small town feel a little like this? Even with all this said, I still love where I’m from but I’m not looking to staying here forever. Maybe a bigger place is calling my name. Have a lovely day and stay beautiful.

I'm from just outside of Dudley :-)Kind of don't mind where I live, there's always little gems that I find and seem to get half decent pictures that I'm happy with anyway.I'm also a Scorpio waheyyy! x

I completely agree, I live in the countryside in the middle of nowhere and I can't wait to move to London one day! It can be nice sometimes but I just want to be in a place where there's always something happeningBeth x | https://bethrebecca.com/

Well I'm not a blogger but I'm from Telford – I do know of two other bloggers here too. One is from Ironbridge I think. Have a look at http://www.thebloggersdirectory.com you might find some there, not sure. Hello BTW
