My last playlist of 2018 has been the best playlist of the year so far! I dug so deep for these songs and I hope you love them just as much as I do. Christmas is over now so there isn’t going to be any Christmassy songs on here I’m afraid but these will still get you into the groove.
THANK U, NEXT / ARIANA GRANDE
Even though I’m happily in a relationship and I have no exes to thank, I love this song. I just love that it shows that you can be strong when things go wrong and you can be happy again while appreciating what you had with someone. I’ve become a huge fan of Ariana this year and I can’t wait to see what 2019 brings for her and her music.
IN MY MIND / DYNORO FT GIGI D’AGOSTINO
I’ve already decided that when I rejoin the gym in January, this is going to be my gym song. I love the beats in this song and it just pumps me up whenever I listen to it. It gets me in that ‘I can take over the world’ mood – always.
DREAMCATCHER / METROBOOMIN FT SWAE LEE & TRAVIS SCOTT
This song sounds like an absolute dream. It’s something a little different to what I usually listen too. I found this song on Liv Vargus’ November playlist and I loved it instantly. To be honest, the whole of Metro Boomin’s album NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES is a boppp.
FOR REAL / MALLRAT
I don’t know what it is about this song but it takes me back to my teenage angst and I could’ve done with a song like this then. I could’ve done with an artist like Mallrat altogether. She’s kinda that lame kid whos cool on the inside and doesn’t care what you think of her and I love that.
SATURDAY NIGHTS / KHALID
I am so shocked that this is Khalid’s first appearance in this lil’ playlist series. Khalid is an artist I discovered last year and he’s been one of my favourites all 2018. In October, he released an EP called Suncity and it has been on repeat since it was released. I really can’t wait to see what Khalid brings out in 2019!!
Thank you so much for reading! It’s a little sad that this is my last playlist of 2018, if you’d like to listen to all the songs I loved this year then this playlist is full of them. What’s been your favourite song of 2018? Have a lovely day and stay beautiful.
“The true beauty of music is that it connects people” – Roy Ayers.
