By reading my blog, you probably think I’m one of these annoying, ‘live your best life’ people who never have a bad day. I hate to burst any bubbles but sometimes being positive is the toughest thing for me. With that said, I love sticking my positive pants on because I just feel better when I’m feeling good about the day. In this post, I’m going to give you some *fool-proof* ways to make your life a lil’ more positive.
GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP
Easier said than done, I know. As an RLS sufferer, I am fully aware that getting a decent kip can be hard af. However, there are ways that you can sleep a little better such as investing in a sleeping mask, some lavender spray etc. I also have a ‘wind-down’ routine which helps me get ready for bed. Anyways, when you’ve had a good nights sleep you’ll naturally feel better.
FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT
Even if you wake up feeling like a bag of crap stick a smile on your face. Put things in a more positive perspective and get on with your day. Negativity breeds negativity – when you act miserable, you’ll be miserable.
DO SOMETHING YOU LOVE DAILY
Sometimes, it’s our routine that’s getting us down. My advice for this would be to do something that makes you happy every day. It doesn’t have to take all day but just do one thing. It could be adding to your crochet pattern, going for a walk or having a Destiny’s Child sing-a-long sesh. Try and mix it up so that you don’t get bored with your new routine.
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE THINGS
We are the product of the people and things that we spend our time with. If your co-worker always has something to grumble about then either change the conversation when it gets negative or try and minimise your time speaking to that. Ensure that your space is radiating positivity too, put some photos around, get some fairy lights or chuck a new blanket on your bed.
Thank you so much for reading. Hopefully, this post can help you be a bit more positive. See you tomorrow for a new post! Have a lovely day and stay beautiful.
