So I turn twenty-one this year which means I’m feeling the pressure to start acting a little more ~grown up~. Not that I think I’m immature or anything but there are some aspects of teen life that I’m gripping onto for dear life. Life is starting to get pretty real for me and I don’t want it to just smack me in the face one day. I get super overwhelmed so easily so putting these few things into place means that I can ease myself into being more adult. God help me.

Moving out is something that I think about almost daily. You’ll be aware of this if you follow me on Pinterest. I really do love living with my parents and siblings. However, having my own little space sounds like an absolute dream. Liam and I have looked a few times together but I really want to start having a proper think about where we want to get our first place together.

As I’ve said in previous posts, I am crap with money. I don’t know what it is but I just have to spend it. Can anyone else relate? Anywho, if I want all these ‘adult’ things like a house, a car, holidays etc then I need to learn how to budget. I really need to be careful and mindful about where my pennies are going.

It only hit me recently that I graduate from university next year, where on Earth has the time gone? I’m both excited and nervous to graduate. I’m glad to be finished with education but so worried about what I’ll do after. I have a few ideas of what I’d like to do but I want to start looking more into these avenues and narrow it down.

This one is very vague but it’s such an important one for me. I really cannot cook. Mainly because if something takes more than 30-minutes to make I’m not interested in having it. In order to be a little more adult, I’m going to put more effort into learning real recipes and cooking food from scratch.

At first, this might sound kinda strange but stay with me. I check the time a lot – for trains, for uni etc. However, this means I’m always getting my phone out which inevitably leads to a 20-minute scroll through Facebook. Also, I feel like people who wear watches look like they have their lives together. Maybe that’s just me though aha.

The watch pictured is the one I recently got from Capitola Watches, it is the Rose Gold Boulevard. It’s so simple but also super chic which I absolutely love. The strap is a lovely velvet texture and the rose gold watch detail really steps it up a notch for me because I love anything rose gold. Capitola has kindly offered me a code which you can use should you chose to purchase of them which will get you 15% off your purchase. This code is KATIEY2019.

With their velvet collection watches, 2% of the proceeds go to Women for Women International, an association which provides support for women who live in countries affected by war.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post, maybe a few of you can relate to it hah. Hopefully, I’m not the only one stuck in the awkward place between being a teen and being an adult. Have a lovely day and stay beautiful.

Lots of loves,
