It’s a new year which means that it’s a new year for bops. I absolutely love seeing the new releases rolling in during the first few months of the year, they set the tone for what kind of music vibe I’m going for in 2019. As with last year, I’m trying hard to listen to newer people and discover so follow my Spotify to keep up with my playlists.

Ari graced us with an absolutely phenomenal album a the start of this year and it’s been on repeat since it dropped. It’s one of them no-skip kinda albums which are pretty rare. This is one of my favourite songs because I can relate to it because well, I’m needy.

My love for Khalid has grown so much over the last two years. He’s really made his way into being one of my favourite artists. I can see this being a song that I listen to when it starts to warm up – it has a bit of a summer vibe to it. I really can’t wait to see what Khalid brings out for the rest of 2019.

I love the vibe of this song, it really is everything. DaniLeigh’s vocals are phenomenal in this and they suit the beat so well. I’d only really heard of one of her songs before but I’m discovering a few more by her and I am loving it. This is a slower song than most on this list but it’s just such a mood.

First of all, I’d just like to thank whoever introduced me to Mahlia because she is amazing. I listen to very few British artists so it’s so nice to find one that I adore. Her album Seasons is definitely one you should check out if you’re looking for new British R&B artists.

Normani is blowing up right now and rightly so. She has done some amazing features including one with Khalid and Sam Smith (which you should listen to). She’s a former member of Fifth Harmony which I had no idea of until the other day. It’s so strange because I never liked Fifth Harmony’s music but I adore both Camila Cabello and Normani as solo artists???

This is the song that I get ready to in the morning. It’s a song that makes me feel like there is nothing in the world that can mess up my day. Saweetie is a new-ish female rapper and she is definitely one to watch in the hip hop genre. Also, she writes her own raps which gives her extra brownie points from me.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post – I love writing these posts and I love sharing new artists that I’ve found with people to enjoy! What are you listening to right now? Have a lovely day and stay beautiful.

Lots of loves,
