I am back with my next monthly playlist and I could not be more excited to show you what I’ve been listening to for the last month. With that being said, I feel like April was a slow month for new bops, this is the time of year where artists start getting ready to release songs for the summer so they pull back on releases for now. Even still, I am a bop hunter and I always find something good to listen to so fear not, I gots you. If you’d like to peep my playlist then here’s my Spotify profile.
Loved By You – Terror Jr
Terror Jr teased this song on Twitter a while ago and I was absolutely obsessed with the preview and I couldn’t wait for them to drop it. When this showed up in my Release Radar it got added to my 2019 playlist so quickly. It’s got that typical Terror Jr charm with a beat that anyone could bop to. I feel like every time they release a new song I start to love them even more.
Power is Power – SZA, The Weeknd & Travis Scott
If you couldn’t tell from my Twitter feed I am a huge Game of Thrones fan so when I heard that a whole album was being released with songs inspired by the series I was so bloody excited. This song has been on repeat ever since I found it and I doubt I’ll stop playing it for a while now. The beat is so sick and all three artists kill it. Their voices mesh so well together on this track and it would be amazing to see another SZA ft The Weeknd collab on Abel’s upcoming album.
Emotions – Iann Dior
Iann Dior is a new find for me. His vocals remind me a lot of Juice Wrld and I live for that. His voice is so beautiful and I love the emotions of this song (get it?). I can’t wait to discover more from Iann Dior as I think he’s gonna blow up pretty soon. I’m loving seeing more male artists talking about feelings in their songs and creating more emotive music.
Monopoly – Ariana Grande & Victoria Monet
Twenty-nineteen is the year of me being obsessed with everything Ariana Grande releases!! She is freaking killing the game right now and there is absolutely no denying that. As well as loving Ariana on this track, I discovered my new found love for Victoria Monet. I love this song so so much and I have to play at least once a day. It’s lovelythat it’s two best friends thriving and having fun on the track.
I can’t wait to see what next months playlist has in store for us.
