Travelling is one of my favourite things to do. I love experiencing different countries and their culture. While I absolutely love holidays where I sit down and do naff all, Liam likes to have a good gander around and not just laze around. We went on a lounging kinda drink by the pool holiday in 2018 so we decided that this year we would have more go on a few more city breaks.
Pretty much since we’ve been together Liam has been telling me that we need to visit Krakow. A few weeks ago we (very compulsively) booked and paid for Krakow ready to go in September. I am super excited because this is my first city break trip to Poland. I’ve been pinning photos from Krakow and Wroclaw for months now so I’m super happy that we’re officially going. We’re staying a really lovely apartment which is nice because we’ll be able to cook our own food while we’re there. There’s also a pizzeria pretty close to where we’re staying so I definitely want to try that out.
Here are a few things I’d like to do while I’m there:
→ Visit Auschwitz – I know this sounds a little morbid but it’s been recommended to me by a few people. Liam and I are both big fans of history so it’s definitely something we’d find interesting.
→ Explore Old Town – Luckily our accommodation is right near Old Town so we can do lots of exploring here. It looks absolutely breathtaking and almost every travel guide I’ve read recommends having a gander.
→ Visit Wawel Castle – Castles are something that I’m obsessed with! It is compulsory for me to visit the castles around me when I travel somewhere new.
We were originally going to Edinburgh again but in order to save some money for a bigger holiday next year, we’ve decided to go to Borth instead. It sounds like a bit of a downgrade but we both really love going to Borth. My Nanny Sherry owns a caravan there so it’s a free holiday for us which we’re really lucky to have. It’s one of the first places that we went on holiday to so it’s really special for us. It’s even more special now because my Nanny Yvonne passed away in May and this is where she wanted her ashes to be spread so I’d love to go and see that spot on my birthday. I know spending my 21st in a caravan in Wales sounds like an old lady thing to do and it’s 100% correct, I just wanted a really lowkey day with my love.
→ Visit Aberwryswth – I bloody love going to Aber, it has such a sacred place in my lil’ heart. For such a small place it has so much charm. I’ve been going there since I was a little girl and I never get bored. Last time we visited, I found a little crystal shop so I’m determined to spend some of my birthday cash there.
→ Go on the beach – Liam and I aren’t really big fans of hot weather or sandy beaches so the fact that we’re going in November and that Borth’s beach is mostly pebbly at the top is perfect for us. We have this little tradition where we sit on the wall together and people watch.
♡ Where are you travelling to in 2019?
