Monthly Lists

the monthly list | June

I literally have no idea how I’m already writing this post about what I’ve loved in June! It will probably be mentioned every time I do one of these posts because 2019 is going wayyyy to fast for me.

What I’ve Watched – When They See Us

As usual, I was scrolling through Twitter when I found loads of people talking about this on Netflix so I had to give it a watch. I’d never actually heard about the Central Park Five case before so this was really interesting. This story broke my heart for many reasons, the main one being that it is real. It is a limited series on Netflix so I’d recommend watching it as soon as you can because it might just disappear. It is superbly written and shot. The actors are also freaking amazing, especially Jharrel Jerome.

What I’ve Read – The Wild Unknown Tarot Guidebook

After going through a rough time recently, I decided I would get back into studying the tarot. I have explained more about this over on Instagram but I’ll explain it a little here. For me, tarot helps me see what’s going on with more clarity or depth. No, I don’t believe it tells my future or anything woo-woo. But I decided to purchase a new deck so I’ve been spending my time tidying the cards and reading the guidebook.

What I’ve Listened to – Happiness Spells by Amanda Meyncke

This podcast is something I found a little while ago and I have been loving it. It is a five-minute long podcast in which Amanda lists loads of things that just bring happiness. She says stuff such as ‘chocolate with a caramel centre’ or ‘a warm breeze on a hot day’. She then gives you a few seconds to think of either when you have experienced that thing or when you may experience it. It’s just a really nice way to boost your happiness by thinking about the small but joyful things in life.

What I’ve Tried – Exploring my Spirituality

As I mentioned above, I’ve been looking into my tarot cards a little bit more. This had lead me to explore my spirituality as a whole in June. I won’t talk about it too much because it’s a journey in its very early stages. I’ve been doing loads of research and trying different things to see what kind of stuff I enjoy etc. This has been a really interesting and therapeutic time in my life. It feels like something that really needed to happen. Maybe when I’m a little more sure about things I’ll share more on here!

♡ What have you enjoyed in June? And what are you looking forward to in July?
